Castlerock Castlerock, County Derry, Northern Ireland
Castlerock Golf Club, is well situated at the point where the River Bann Estuary meets the Atlantic Ocean. A fine links that is overshadowed somewhat by it more illustrious neighbours at Portstewart and Royal Portrush Golf Clubs. A stream that runs across the golf links comes in to play on some holes, notably the 6th where if your approach to the green is short your ball is likely to run back into the water. Several of the holes have lovely sea views and the par 4 eight hole is almost a 90 degree dogleg right requiring an accurate tee shot to have a view of the green an accurate approach to an elevated green. There are an additional nine holes here located in larger dunes which make a nice addition to the other eighteen.
