Open for play and receiving rave reviews is St Andrews newest course, the Castle Course, designed by Scotland’s own David McLay Kidd.  David’s next exciting project is Machrihanish Dunes, scheduled to open next spring.  Located in Campbelltown, across bay from Turnberry and Royal Troon, David describes designing this course as a personal dream, creating his course as Old Tom might have done in centuries past.

The Westin Turnberry Resort is being redeveloped before it hosts next year’s Open Championship.  As a result, the Ailsa course is closed to visitors until after the Open in July 2009.
