After the rough and tumble challenge of the traditional Irish links courses, the tranquil beauty and somewhat gentler pace of Killarney's two classic parkland courses offer a welcome respite.

Mahoney's Point and Killeen course are located by the famous Lakes of Killarney in the shadow of the McGillycuddy Reeks. Killeen was the venue of the 1991 and 1992 Irish Open when Nick Faldo triumphed both years, and the 1996 Curtis Cup.

The wooded parkland was originally made available by Lord Castlerosse, an avid golfer, whose interest in horticulture is evidenced by the wonderful shrubbery of the grounds.
