Portmarnock Links

Portmarnock, County Dublin, Ireland

Though very young by Irish golf links standards, Portmarnock Links is quickly gaining a reputation as fine golf layout and was home to The Irish Ladies Open in 2008 and 2009. Bernhard Langer and associate Stan Eby designed a classic golf links. Good use of sand dunes, elevated tees and greens and ninety eight strategically positioned bunkers combine to provide a tough but fair golf challenge. Berhard Langer remarked, “There are very few locations in Europe which could have allowed me the opportunity and landscape to design such a classic championship golf links.”
